The thinking gene of the leader<\/h2>\n

Matulale is a gracious and serving leader who always empowers her staff. She\u00a0knows every person, their family and what their passions are. You might say she\u00a0is a people\u2019s person. But Matulale finds it difficult to make decisions in a timely\u00a0manner. Important decisions are always postponed; to the point that it just fades\u00a0away.<\/p>\n

There is the age-old question regarding leadership, are leaders born or can you\u00a0develop leadership? The reality is it is both. The reality for Africa is that we will\u00a0find many who might not have the traditional leadership gene, actually\u00a0occupying leadership positions and doing a great job. Part of the work of the\u00a0leader is to make healthy decisions. There are 16 thinking skills that leaders\u00a0need in today\u2019s challenging world. One such skill is to master the complexity of\u00a0the system and systems in the organization you lead today and tomorrow.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Leaders constantly see the\u00a0entire gallery of an organization or customer group, while viewing the specific\u00a0parts of each team\/department or customer\u2019s personal needs. Leaders\u00a0connect the dots between departments\/teams and customers. Being comfortable\u00a0and thriving in complex systems is a key competence for future leaders today.<\/p>\n
