The Intangible Value of Mastery<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I am very thankful that I grew up in a home where my dad taught us the value of quality work.<\/p>

My dad is a Property Developer for more than 35 years. It is amazing to me to see how the value of his final products have increased in recent years. He has created an intangible value that is not easy to compete with.<\/p>

Agents stand que to sell the houses he designs and builds. Customers are excited about the features he adds to make it customer centric. Recently my dad\u2019s houses have sold within days of being on the market. A sign and fruit of hard and dedicated work for 35 years. Something I believe money cannot buy.<\/p>

Now, let us compare this with a new and young builder. Yes, they will show innovative ideas. They will try and convince people to buy their homes, but the intangible value of their designs will not yet be there. It will only come after many years of focus, dedication and refinement.<\/p>

If I look at my dad\u2019s journey, then it is evident that mastery takes time, an unwavering attitude to commitment, discipline and quality.<\/p>

The evidence abounds, contrary to popular media, that people who have focused on their mastery over decades and even generations, have created an intangible value that is difficult to compete with. There are many multi-generational family businesses who have created value beyond their product or service. You can \u201ctaste\u201d mastery in the interactions with them.<\/p><\/div>

The story of the new Nike CEO, Elliot Hill, is another great example of the intangible value a person of mastery can bring to a company. If a person is determined to stick, grow and fine tune their mastery, their value will grow beyond salary and compensation.<\/span><\/span><\/div>

In the light of our discussion during this blog, my question to you are now:<\/p>

What would be the real reward for you in creative mastery growth?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

Take time to refine your vision for mastery. It is our vision and understanding of mastery that keeps us going when we do not see the progress. When we want to give up, we need to realise again what the true intangible value of the journey is.<\/p>
